Madame Scarlette

Kink Educator & Domina

The main term Old Guard started in the 1950’s taking its formation from the military code and biker colture. Mentorship, earning your leathers, and taking time to learn until you were deemed ready were standard.

Taking my training from this process meant that I had a mentorship within a small group and learned how to be a good Dominant by learning how it feels for a submissive when you train them, and apply your talents to the delicate balance that is their body, soul, and emotions. Many don’t believe in taking in this method but I feel the strict code, the ethics of being consideratre of those are submissive, earning your place, and knowing how to read subtle unspoken cues that people give off in the community makes an individual better at their craft.

Does this mean I’m Old Guard? I like to think of myself as constantly evolving and learning Dominant who gleans from everything and anything that goes on inside and outside of the community. Not all training happens inside the coven-like enclaves of the community and without the ability to adapt and create your own template to work from we remain stagnant.

I appreciate where I learned from, and I will be grateful for what I’ve learned as I feel I have taken the code of conduct, the consideration of those I share this space with, and taking the time to earn my place as a Dominant who takes what she does seriously and enjoys her craft and apply this not only this area of my life but the rest of it as well.
